The photo: the first filter

No photo = no assignment. It's harsh but it's the reality. An owner entrusting their keys needs to see a face.

What works:

• Clear portrait, neutral or outdoor background
• Natural, unforced expression
• Alone or with an animal, if you have one, show it. It's the strongest signal you can send.

What doesn't work:

• Blurry holiday photo from 3 meters away
• Group photo where it's unclear who you are
• Photo without a face (landscape, avatar)

Animal experience: be precise

"I love animals" says nothing. "I looked after 3 cats and a Golden Retriever for friends in Lyon for 2 weeks last summer" says something.

List everything:

• Animals you had as a child
• Informal pet-sitting for friends or family
• Professional experiences related to animals
• Training (animal first aid, dog training)

If you are completely new: say so honestly, but compensate with your situation (remote work, retirement, availability) and your seriousness. Owners accept beginners if the profile otherwise inspires confidence.

Identity verification: do it before applying

Unverified profiles appear after verified profiles in the search results. Many owners filter directly on "ID verified."

Verification takes 5 minutes. The validation period is less than 24 hours. There's no reason to apply without having done it.
